About Us
HealthCube is a privately held Australian company providing high-quality clinical services to the aged care sector. It is dedicated to delivering resident-centred, needs-driven, proactive medical care. Its mission is to help residential aged care facilities (RACFs) to optimise the health and well-being of those in their care.
HealthCube's teams of carefully selected and trained clinicians are supported by robust quality management systems and secure, advanced information communications technology.
HealthCube was conceived by two lateral-thinking Canberra doctors who believed that IT systems could be developed and better-harnessed by the medical profession to improve the quality of life of aged care residents.
Backed by private investors and supported by specialists in medicine, aged care, IT and business systems, HealthCube has developed a unique clinical services model enabled by innovative, purpose-built software. Using proven technologies, the system supports the secure and safe collection of health assessment information from the bedside.
HealthCube commenced operations in late 2008 after extensive field trials, providing high-quality Comprehensive Medical Assessments (CMAs) to residents of aged care facilities.
Demand from RACFs and their residents for a parallel full-service offering led to the development and roll-out of HealthCube's Preventive Aged Care (PAC) service in mid-2009.
The PAC service is a medical practice with a dedicated aged-care focus and a strong pro-active approach. HealthCube-employed GPs utilise a suite of preventive clinical tools to catch avoidable declines in resident health before they become serious, thereby reducing hospital admissions and improving quality of life. It also offers residents the comfort and support of scheduled regular chronic care consultations.
All HealthCube's clinical services are fully covered by Medicare, and thus require no outlay by either residents or facilities.
HealthCube also offers tailored Consulting Services to RACFs to help them meet their Aged Care Funding Instrument (ACFI) reporting obligations.
